This is the book that my work is in.
This is the book I cannot afford to buy.
On a day when I answered a craigslist post about hanging christmas decorations for someone's sick mother for $13 an hour, a collector of my work called to tell me how great my work looked in that book and how much I should be looking forward to being in the show.
There is something wrong with my situation.

well it does seem like a pretty fancy book, buddy... i'm sure the $$$ will work itself out; sounds like a chapter from my life. btw, i'm gonna have a show in philly opening january 8th. you should come down. i'll email the details when i finally get the press release. congrats on the book!
Thanks. That's awesome about the show! I'll definitely be there. The only work related type thing I have planned around then is out in the woods. I'll make sure it doesn't overlap.
(p.s. I'm not going to the woods to become an ewok or Thoreau).
wait... you are in the book and cannot afford to buy it. if that be the case. there is something wrong with that story.
Word is bond Aaron! Congrats on the book. Any pics of the inside online somewhere?
Dan congrats your way too b!
Thanks R. The only pictures online are on the Saatchi website. Rizzoli publishes the book here in the US which isn't out until the new year (available in EU already though).
I thought about making my own version with some old photocopies, random press clippings and binding it with elmers school paste to give to my family as a present (my gallery too).
Wow, congratulations that you are in that book! Don't worry you will be able to afford it some day. I hope someone at least gave it to you.
I love your piece titled Make Like the Sun on your website. It's so gorgeous.
Thanks Jamie! Really nice thing to wake up to and read on New Years Eve day. I took a look at your paintings too - really like peachy oranges and blue greens. Blue/green is a tough but rewarding color. I can tell you definitely are inspired by the west coast.
Here is a surf video with a soundtrack from my favorite band:

Wow, thanks Aaron! Happy New Year to you.
Thank you for the video too. I will post this on a future Surf Fridays and link you for tuning me in to it. Cheers. Maybe I can do an interview with you in the New Year, too.
Nothing wrong here. Everyone is due or not due. Your work stands some sort of test and so will you. . .
ANd that vid is one of the dvd "extras" portions of tCampbell's "sprout."
Funny idea that it would be put to Yo La Tengo. I myself ripped that same section and put it to MWard for subway viewing via my Eyephone.
