Yeah Aaron some of these are my faves as well... Especially the Sun Ra and that hip hop joint. Raging Bull is probably one of my favorite films from Scorcese.
i forgot you were still bloggin here, dude... anyway, this is a great idea. definitely diggin the ira kaplan shit... i might whip up something like this on my own page...
Hey R and D, Yup, I'm still blogg'n Cape Cod style. The walk in to town to use the internet is a small trek so I'm saving up on the writings/rants/observations. Before I left NY I was set to write a manifesto on how Littering is a blatent sign of a growing social disease. Now though, I'm calmed down. What do I write about? Anyhow, I'm mak'n some art here, eating good food, watching animals, providing insects with my body as a 12 course meal... oh and some beach time tanning my chicken white skin.
Not to get you riled up again about the littering but.....the other day I was sitting outside my house on Germantown Ave. and I see these two girls walking down the block. They were eating while walking and carrying a fast food bag. The one girl looked me right in the eye and dropped the bag (which was kind of a large bag) right on the sewer next to my apartment building! I was kind of in shock. I always thought people littered a little more subtly but the blatent display I witnessed showed me that some people don't give a %@$.
About 5 months ago, before our jetta was stolen, I looked outside our window to check on it... I saw a white plastic bag on top of the car flapping in the wind and I thought, Hmmm I wonder if somebody came by the apt. saw that we weren't there and dropped a present for us. Naive, but nonetheless it was my first thought and because of its firsthood it stuck in my mind. 3 days go by and the thing is still there. So I'm thinking somebody must really have left something there. I went to check it out only to find a white bag filled with chicken bones.
We were parked right next to an empty lot, filled with weeds. I'm not suggesting to have it thrown in there, but on top of a car?! C'mon Philly.
